Best Buy has kicked off pre-orders for Nokia and HTC-developed smartphones running on Microsoft's latest mobile operating system. The US retailer's website lists the Lumia 920 for $149.99 through a two-year contract. The price for the device without the contract is $599.99. Meanwhile, the HTC 8X will be available for $99.99 with a contract and $599.99 without one.
The listings, however, don't detail when those who pre-order can expect delivery. All it says is that devices "will ship when available." AT&T and Nokia had announced a partnership earlier in the month where the former will exclusively carry the Lumia 920 in the U.S. during November.
Microsoft will officially announce their own Windows Phone 8 device on October 29, three days after its Windows 8 operating system launches.
